It’s true to say that I didn’t find art, art found me… and I’m forever grateful it did! It may sound like a nice sound bite, but it's how I feel.

As a young girl I always imagined myself as a career woman. A high-pressure, high-powered job was what I saw. However life had other plans...

During my teen years my health declined. For many years the doctors didn't know what it was. CFS/ME/Lyme-like illness is what I now know it to be and it has caused certain areas of my life to be limited. The biggest being I have been unable to work for many years.

That is where art and creating comes in...

If not due to the random idea of buying a cheap watercolour paint/pad pack to paint a birthday card and try something creative within my limitations, I doubt you'd be reading this right now.

That seemingly small decision to pick up a paintbrush opened up a world in myself that I never knew existed. From beginning in watercolour, I now use (but am not limited to) acrylic, pencil, pen and alcohol ink. It has provided an avenue for me to work through and around the limitations of chronic illness and continues to be such a healing experience. I am immensely grateful to be able to give back and bring joy to people through my art. I hope to do so for many more years.

I enjoy meeting people and creating paintings just for them.  Whether it be to complete a space or give as a gift, commissions are a wonderful way to own a unique painting specific for your needs.

Please get in touch through the contact page or email [email protected] for commissions or any suggestions.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little more about me!
